JAMMU, Jan 3: Dharmarth Trust Employees Association today vowed to intensify its ongoing agitation and has decided to form Mandir Raksha Manch with an aim to merge all temples falling under the Dharmarth Trust into the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for their proper upkeep. In this connection, the association organized a convention in which representatives of several Sabhas, religious and trader organizations participated. Representatives of several organizations comprising Raghunath Mandir Sewa Samiti, Jammu Province People’s Front, Khar Sadhu Samaj, Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Shiv Sena, Dogra Front, Sarv Shakti Sena, Modi Army, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Kashyap Rajput Sabha, Bahu Fort Development Committee, Pragati Manch, Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Employees Association, Freedom Fighters Memorial Association, Trade Union, Acharya Brahmin Bradri, Kranti Dal, Joint Employees Action Committee, Amar Khayatriya Rajput Sabha, JDA employees Union, Housing Corporation trade union and International VHP took part in the convention. Speaking on the occasion, the association members criticized the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust saying that they are bent upon destroying the Dogra culture. They demanded merger of all Dharmarth Trust temples with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for their proper development. They informed that after taking all the stakeholders and civil society members into confidence a new forum titled ‘Mandir Raksha Manch has been formed with an aim to intensify the ongoing agitation for merging all the temples of Dharmarth Trust into the Shrine Board. “We shall continue our agitation till our demands will be met by the Trust members,” they reiterated. Rajiv Mahajan, President Raghunath Mandir Sewa Samiti criticized the functioning of the Dharmarth Trust termed the demands of Dharmarth Trust employees are genuine and justified. He urged Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to bring an ordinance and remove the present structure of Dharmarth Trust and constitute new council by framing new law to run the trust affairs properly and protect the temple's property. MS Katoch, Working President JPPF, Khar Sadhu Samaj, President Rajesh Bittu and Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha also spoke on the occasion. Meanwhile, the chain hunger launched by the Dharmarth Trust employees today entered in the seventh day.
