Kishtwar accident: 2 booked for rash, drunken driving

KISHTWAR, Jan 3: Kishtwar police today booked two persons including a driver of an ECO vehicle bearing Registration No JK06A-2994 for rash and negligent driving after it met with an accident.
As per the details available with Early Times, the ill-fated vehicle was rashly driven by the accused and hit the pillar of a shop, electric poll of 11 KV transmission line a Wagon-R vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02CQ-2542 before it turned turtle.
As soon as the vehicle hit the electric poll, a big sound terrified the people living in adjacent houses.
Soon the people come out of their houses and saw the two people in drunken state with some minor injuries. The people immediately informed the police who rushed to the spot and took the accused into custody. Senior police official told the Early Times that FIR has been registered against the two persons who were later taken to the hospital for medical checkup adding that the investigation has been set into motion.
