Jammu, Jan 12: Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered a one-member enquiry over recruitment scam of 2018, in which three persons were recruited in Handicrafts Department Kashmir on bases of fake recruitment letters of J&K Service Selection Board (JKSSB).
According to the order issued by the government enquiry officer would submit his findings within 15 days.
“Special Secretary to the Government Industries & Commerce Department is hereby appointed as Inquiry Officer to enquire into the matter regarding fake appointment of three candidates to the post of AHTO, Divisional Cadre Kashmir, appointed vide order No. 380-HD of 2018 dated: 26-04-2018 issued by the Directorate Handicrafts Kashmir, J&K”, Govt order no 04-IND of 2020.
The order further reads that the Inquiry officer shall submit a report on this behalf to the Government within a period of 15 days.
“These three Assistant Handicraft Training Officers (AHROs) were appointed on the fake letter with ‘forged signatures’ of Secretary, SSRB continued to draw salaries for the last about three years besides enjoying other service benefits'', sources said, adding that trio were appointed vide SSRB’s letter No. SSB/ Secy/ Sel/ AA/ 2017/2745-47 dated 15-03-2018.
“The then Director Handicrafts, J&K, Mushtaq Ahmed vide order No 380-HD of 2018 dated 26-04-2018, with reference to the Administrative approval vide leter No. Ind/DOH-92/97-IV dated 19-4-2018, appointed these three persons as AHTOs in Kashmir in the pay scale of 9300-34800 +4200 GP plus other allowances'', sources said.
Though the matter was under investigation by the Crime Branch following a complaint was sent by the Secretary JKSSRB in December last year.
