Mehbooba’s appreciation of Rahul raises many eye-brows !

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 17: PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s all appreciations of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has raised many eye-brows because recently she had criticized Congress for not vociferously opposing Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 and 35-A.
Hailing Rahul Gandhi as a daring and bold politician who dares to speak truth, Mehbooba on Saturday said that history will remember Congress leader for standing up to the “present dictatorial regime” of Narendra Modi.
Reliable sources said that it was all due to political compulsion that Mehbooba Mufti has given a statement to appreciate Rahul Gandhi because her party PDP has been isolated at the national level due to separatist agenda pursued by the incumbent leadership. “Almost all political parties in the country are hesitating to support Mehbooba Mufti due to policies adopted by the party after demise of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”, sources said and added that PDP president has realized that Congress leadership is trying to maintain a distance from her party.
“Instead of giving support to PDP, the Congress leadership is trying to join hands with National Conference to frustrate designs of BJP to caputure District Development Councils (DDCs) in some districts”, sources said and added that it was all due to political isolation that Mehbooba Mufti has lavished all praise on Rahul Gandhi.
Reliable sources in PDP said that after arrest of most of the senior leaders of the party in terror funding and money laundering cases, Mehbooba Mufti is in a dire need of support from opposition parties at the national level but most of the parties avoiding to support Mehbooba due to communal and separatist agenda allegedly being pursued by the party.
After abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, the incumbent PDP leadership is openly pursuing a communal and parochial agenda to mount pressure on the Centre. Political parties across the country are hesitating to support PDP at this juncture when the party is turned into a B team of Hurriyat Conference.
