MoU signing ceremony with ICSI held

Jammu, Jan 18: Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu organized and hosted two MoU signing ceremony between Higher Education Department, UT of J&K and the ICSI, New Delhi today.
In the able guidance of Talat Parvez Rohella, Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K, the MoU was signed by Peerzada Mohammad Yousuf, Director Colleges, CS Ashish Garg, president, the ICSI New Delhi and Prof. R.S.Jamwal, Principal, Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu & Nasreen Aman, Principal, Govt. Degree College Bemina through virtual mode.
The other dignitaries present on the the occasion included Prof. (Dr.) Ravinder Tickoo, Nodal Principal Jammu Division, CS Suresh Pandey, NIRC-ICSI Chairman, CS Nagendra D. Rao, Vice President ICSI, CS Palak Arora, Chairperson, Jammu Chapter of NIRC of ICSI, CS Yamina Almas, Chairperson Srinagar Chapter of NIRC, faculty members and students of the College. Prof. R.S.Jamwal, Principal of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce appreciated the efforts of the Commissioner/Secretary, Higher Education Department for his dynamic vision to have a new dimension added to the curriculum of Higher Education as well as motivated the Principals of the Govt. Degree Colleges of J&K UT for adopting NEP.
The Director of Colleges, Higher Education Department in his address stressed that while increasing the cognitive skills among the students it is also important to develop their technical knowledge, this aspect of education should be made available for the students so that the students will benefit by having at least skill based courses during their academic years in the college. This will help them to have a wider range of job opportunities with them.
