SEHAT scheme: Udhampur Admin hosts training for Arogya Mitras, CSC operators

UDHAMPUR, Jan 18: District Administration Udhampur today conducted day long training cum workshop for the Common Service Centre operators and Arogya Mitras for effective implementation of Ayushman Bharat/Sehat Scheme in the District.
At the outset, District Manager CSC, Akshay Kapoor gave a detailed power point presentation about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) “SEHAT” scheme. He informed that around 100 Common Service Centres have been established in the district Udhampur. He called for correct and Adhaar based registration of each beneficiary to avoid confusions witnessed in many cases.
While addressing the workshop, Assistant Commissioner ® Viqar Giri said the main objective of organizing this workshop is to sensitize the CSC operators of the district for effective implementation of the scheme on ground. He impressed upon the CSC operators to play a pivotal role for successful completion of this scheme.
Chief Medical Officer, Dr K C Dogra also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the benefits of Sehat scheme. He said that it is the largest health insurance scheme which aims at providing a health cover of Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across public and private empanelled hospitals in India. He added that a populations over 6 lakh will be covered in Udhampur under the scheme.
Among others, District Health Officers, Dr Mohd Yaseen, District Informatics Officers, Anil Sharma and other officers/ officials of concerned department besides CSC operators were present.
