Chairman JKTF apprised of various teaching problems, assured help

UDHAMPUR, Jan 18: District President Udhampur, Surinder Sharma today organized a meeting in which Ganesh Khajuria, chairman Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum was called upon and genuine demands of their zones kept that were hampering the day to day routine work of the schools' information due to the absence of different DDO's like Headmasters, ZEOs, Principals as almost 70% of the district is defunct without these heads.
While expressing their views, they acquainted the Chairman that a lot of masters who are working in the SSA upgraded schools were suffering due to non-payment of salary, 6th and 7th Pay commission arrears which are pending for many months.
They also put forth the demand of DPC of all cadres. A prolonged and detailed discussion related to the issues of teaching community was deliberated upon. A comprehensive discourse was taken over the problems faced by masters working as headteachers whose adjustments are still awaited and the masters promoted way back in 2014 have pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, all the issues confronted by the erstwhile RETs/RRETs, their transition into Gr II and Gr III were also taken on board for deliberations.
Ganesh Khajuria patiently listened to all the demands and assured them that their demands would be kept before the higher authorities on Monday to mitigate the problems being faced by them. He also appealed to the concerned authorities of the School Education Department that Transport Allowance must be released in favour of all those Masters and Teachers who are working in the schools for the community classes, renovation/uplifting of the schools etc.
