Siding With Adversaries?
2/15/2021 11:36:08 PM
Kashmir centric politicians have once again proved that they are far away from the national mainstream. Leaders, including Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and others didn’t show any courtesy to even utter a word in honour of the CRPF jawans who were martyred in Pulwama terror attack on February 14, 2019.
This is not for the first time that Kashmir centric leaders have maintained silence on an issue where they needed to speak. This year on the occasion of Republic Day these leaders didn’t show any courtesy to greet the nation. In fact they have been doing it again and again.
It appears that by remaining silent on major occasions these leaders want to send a message that they are out to don the mantle of the rebels. If it’s so then they should give up the perks and privileges they are enjoying as mainstream politicians. It appears that they want to once again sow the seeds of discord in the Valley.
After August 5, 2019, the lines have been drawn and it’s clear that the people who want to preach separatism and sedition don’t fit anywhere in the scheme of things and no one will entertain them.
Kashmir centric leaders by remaining silent on the Pulwama attack anniversary have once again made an attempt to side with the adversaries. They have no courage to pay tributes to the valiant jawans of the security forces who risk their lives to keep everyone secure including these leaders. It’s high time for Muftis, Abdullahs and others to decide on which side of the turf do they stand. If they can’t stand with the nation, then they have no right to be here. They should go to the place which they feel is dear to them. If they want to remain on this side they have to feel the pain of jawans and their families, who at every cost are protecting the sovereignty of the country and are fighting the enemies day in and day out.
During the past one and half year the Centre has acted tough and has driven home a point that no nonsense will be tolerated and young leaders are ready to lead from the front. They are holding tricolor close to their heart and are ready to serve the people. They don’t shy away from calling themselves Indians as they are a part of New India.
