Female IAF officer accuses colleague of sexual harassment, Police register FIR | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 15: The Jammu Police have registered an FIR against Indian Air Force (IAF) Officer on the charges of sexual harassment. The FIR has been lodged at Police Station Satwari Jammu on the complaint of the female officer and the matter is being investigated. "It has been learnt from Police sources that the female Pilot has appeared before the Magistrate in the Jammu Court and deposed her statement. As per the Police FIR it has been alleged that victim was posted in Jammu where accused officer committed acts of unwelcome and inappropriate touching leading to assault and sexual harassment and even passed sexually coloured and lewd remarks which under law are offences under sections 354, 354 A and 509 IPC", sources said. "To the utter shock of my life, he crossed all limits. Accused touched me on my shoulder from behind and made lewd remarks with lustful eyes and demeanour. I didn't feel comfortable but didn't know how to react as I had not expected this response." the victim claimed in her complaint. The FIR also mentions about other incidents of sexual harassment by the officer and the Police are investigating the matter but the accused has not been arrested till now. |
