| JKMEF holds protest dharna, raises several issues | | |

JAMMU, Feb 16: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF), Block R S Pura Jammu organized day-long dharna under the president ship of Romesh Choudhary, president JKMEF Block R.S Pura, Jammu to highlight the burning and genuine problems of medical employees who are fighting with the world wide pandemic Covid-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary demanded DPC of all the categories pending for the last four years which is supposed to be held twice in a year, despite of repeated representations and deputations nothing is done so far, For employees who are dealing with the Covid -19 are compelled to protest for their genuine demands. DPC should be clear at par with the Govt Medical College / Drug and Food Organization on the pattern of executive order passed by the administrative department till the SRO-20 is not amended.
He said that those employees who lost their life while fighting Covid-19 are deprived from the compensation / insurance has announced by the UT Govt which demoralized the spirit of the employees.
He demanded release the pending salary of the Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers which is due from the last 5months and they are facing starvations.
While addressing the dharna Sushil Sudan President, Parfulat Singh Gen Secy, Harpal Singh President JK X-rays Tech. Employees Association,
Tajinder Singh and leader of JKMEF urged the UT Govt to consider the demands of the medical employees at the earliest otherwise they would be compelled to launch further strong course of action. |
