2/17/2021 11:23:37 PM
Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Terming the visit of foreign envoys to Jammu and Kashmir to assess the ground situation as futile exercise, former union minister and senior Congress leader Prof Saifuddin Soz alleged that it is unfortunate that Government of India (GoI) has not learnt any lesson from its past mistakes. "A group of Foreign Envoys' visiting Kashmir today is part of a futile Exercise on Public Relations by GoI, Prof Soz said in a statement Wednesday afternoon. He alleged that it is really unfortunate that the GoI has not learnt any lesson from its past mistakes adding masters have rightly said if the people do not learn a lesson from their mistakes, they are bound to repeat these mistakes, time and again.
Prof Soz said these envoys will enjoy sightseeing in Kashmir and get back to their countries. Ultimately, this whole exercise will mean complete wastage of tax payers money'.
"I have a feeling that the Envoys' will read agony of Kashmiris writ large on the horizons in Kashmir", he said adding the people of Kashmir are sure that security agencies will not be able to convince these Envoys' that things happened to be normal in Kashmir after Abrogation of Article 370 of the constitution of India.
He said he hoped that the Envoy's will realize the fact that Kashmiris are deeply sad and angry on the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India that happened to be the basis of their constitutional relationship with India and they (the people of Kashmir) have already started a democratic movement for restoration of their internal autonomy enshrined in the Article 370 of the Constitution of India.
