DC Doda chairs weekly Block diwas program at Bhaderwah

DODA, Mar 31: District Development Commissioner, Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a grievance redress camp at Dak bungalow Bhaderwah as part of the weekly Block Diwas meeting.
During the program several deputations met with the DC Doda, including members of Sanatan Dharm Sabha, Councillors of MC Bhaderwah, Sarpanches of various panchayats, representatives of various political parties, locals. They highlighted various issues of public importance and sought immediate redress of the same. They demanded restoration of defunct khuls, speedy execution of widening work at Seri Bazar, electricity supply and internet connectivity to Jai tourist spot, repair of roads, establishment/identification of parking sites within the vicinity of municipal area, repair of Monda road, fool proof and advance arrangements for upcoming religious festivals, end of unscheduled power cuts, especially during the holy month of Ramadan etc.
The DC assured that all the genuine grievances of the public will be redressed on priority basis. He asked the ADC Bhaderwah to make an inventory of all the grievances and review them on monthly basis to ensure timely disposal.
The DC further said that all the grievances in his competence shall be taken into account on priority, and those requiring intervention and higher level will be forwarded to the concerned authorities for appropriate and timely response.
The DC directed all the officers of line departments to flash their mobile phones numbers on the notice board to facilitate easy access to the people.
Meanwhile, the DC also urged the people to follow all the necessary guidelines issued by the Govt/ District Administration with regard to Covid-19. He further appealed the religious leaders to spread awareness about the safety measures through their respective forums to contain the recent surge of the virus.
The DC also distributed Domicile certificates among beneficiaries, and also visited the Seri bazar and directed the executing agency to complete the work within the timeline.
Similar, program were also held at Doda, Sub division Assar, Thathri and Gandoh, wherein the officers attended the program and listened to the grievances of the general public.
