Early Times Report

Jammu, May 10: Although administration of Lieutenant Governor is, as of now, focussing on intensifying battle against Corona, action is likely to be taken against bureaucrats responsible for delay in establishment of oxygen plants in different hospitals of Jammu. Highly placed sources in the corridors of power that LG administration has decided to utilize all energy in COVID management to break the chain of the virus and to control mortality. “After controlling of the virus, many heads likely to be rolled for criminal negligence in setting up oxygen plants”, sources said and added that senior bureaucrats have already been directed by the higher-ups to identity officers responsible for this negligence
“Although competent officers at the helm of the affairs are working round the clock to ensure smooth supply of oxygen in all dedicated COVID hospitals to save previous lives, those responsible for creating such an unprecedented situation would not be spared any cost”, sources said. As reported exclusively by this newspaper, tenders for setting up oxygen plants were floated in the month of September 2020 when Jammu’s premier health institution, Government Medical College (GMC) was reeling with acute shortage of oxygen. “Not only tenders were floated, bids were also received but work could not start due to some petty personal interests of officers at the helm of the affairs”, sources said.
