6/21/2021 12:18:04 AM

Early Times Report

Bani, June 20: In pursuance of the order of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha regarding provision of medical facilities and development of the remote and far flung areas of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, the construction work of Oxygen plant was kick-started at the Sub District Hospital Bani here today.
The work on the project was inaugurated by BMO Bani, Dr Radha Krishna Ji in presence of the staff of the health institution and the locals of the area. It is pertinent to mention here that BMO Dr Radha Krishna with his relentless efforts and full dedication made the commencement of this significant health project possible as per the order and initiative of the LG.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion, the BMO said that this project at the Sub District Hospital will be carried on war footing and after its completion the people of this far flung area will not be required to traverse a distance of 160 kilometers to reach Medical College Kathua for oxygen purpose. He asserted that this will save the people especially the patients from a lot of hardships they had to face on account of worst road conditions in winters when road to Kathua gets blocked due to land-slides and patients can’t reach the Medical College Kathua for better treatment. He said that the facilities at the Sub District Hospital are being upgraded as per the directions of the Lt Governor and now there will not be any shortage of medical staff and machinery for which this health centre craved for long.
Dr Radha Krishna while profusely thanking the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for this gift to the people of Bani said that this oxygen plant at the Sub District Hospital will serve as lifeline for the people of the area.
Meanwhile the locals of Bani while talking to this reporter expressed gratitude to the BMO Dr Radha Krishna for making hectic efforts for establishing oxygen plant at Bani especially in view of many hurdles like shortage of land and poor road connectivity for the construction of the plant. They said that it would not have been possible without the efforts of BMO Bani.
