Early Times Report

Jammu, July 19: Circular issued by Jammu and Kashmir Secretary Sports Council is an indication that many anti-national elements have been inducted as permanent employees in Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
Apart from other directions, it is clearly mentioned in the circular that “stern action is also to be initiated against the employees, who are indulging in anti-national activities”.
This line is a clear indication that some employees of the Sports Council have been indulged in anti-national activities. What the biggest question is who recruited these anti-national employees in the Sports Council?
Credible sources said that anti-national employees were recruited during the PDP-BJP regime. A self-proclaimed nationalist BJP leader was also at the helm of the affairs when anti-national elements were inducted in the Sports Council to pursue anti-India agenda.
Meanwhile according to news report, the sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) Jammu, have sought records of various construction works executed, purchases made, bills encashed and other details from the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council is the highest body catering sports across the Union Territory.
Sources in the Anti-Corruption Bureau said that the Joint Surprise Check (JSC) team from the Jammu wing have recently paid a visit to the office of the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Jammu.
“Acting on several anonymous complaints, the ACB in connection with the probe, have sought records of construction works executed besides purchases made by the Director General in the last three years,” sources said.
They said that the record has been sought for the period of 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21.
However, sources said that record of works executed without tenders and through an open market, payments made in the mentioned period, tender notices of all purchases, firms participating in tenders, bids made, have also been sought.
“The details of supply orders with quality tests, receipts of material works executed by district officers besides, bills, cash books and other documents (Xerox copies) have also been sought from the Council by the ACB.”
