'Govt at doorstep' is unique, masses will be benefitted: Raman Suri
9/8/2021 10:56:56 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Sept 8: Unlike past when Parliamentary Delegations were made to knock at the doors of separatist leaders in Kashmir and humiliated, now Prime Minister Narendra Modi is sending delegations of Ministers to Jammu and Kashmir as part of Government’s Public Outreach Programme, thereby prioritising people's welfare over anything else. This mass contact programme has never been taken up to make people understand how much J&K means and matters in terms of development.
This was stated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri, who added that way back in 2010, the then Prime Minister had made a 39 member All-Party delegation to knock at the doors of separatists thereby creating a drama and showing to the world that such anti-national elements were more important than common people, especially youth, who were the future of Jammu & Kashmir. The previous governments ignored the aspirations of people and chose to please separatists.
He said, the tables stand turned now and people, not separatists, have become priority for the Union Government, which is leaving no stone unturned to reach out to common people, empower them, make them reap benefits of various programmes and policies meant for massses, give their children a progressive UT, ensure law of land prevails and provide them a level playing field, so that favouritism and nepotism ends.
Now the best part is that the proposed visits of Parliamentarians will also make people understand how much they stand benefitted with the abrogation of Article 370 and how much empowered their children are, he added.
