Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 9: Apni Party, Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta has strongly condemned decision to bar Mahajan and Khatri community from buying agricultural land. Terming the decision as grass root level violation of the rights granted by the constitution of India, Dr Gupta said that the government should roll back the decision.
“It is a glaring example of discrimination with Mahajan and Khatri communities who have been barred from buying the agricultural property. The drawing of lines has divided the society on the name of caste and creed which is unfortunate and should be condemned by all,” he said in a statement to the press.
He said that such a decision has exposed the BJP for its divisive politics in Jammu and Kashmir as they have restored to divide communities into castes and sub-castes. “The BJP has snatched rights of the people gradually once it gained power. If the decision is not corrected or taken back, the people may come out on the streets against the biased approach of the authorities,” he said.
