MP Jugal Kishore flags off Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 at Rajouri

RAJOURI, Sept 11: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri today organised Fit India freedom Run 2.0 under Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The marathon was flagged off by Member Parliament Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Jugal Kishore Sharma here from PWD Dak Bungalow.
Scores of youth from across the length and breadth of the district Rajouri participated enthusiastically amid chanting of slogans highlighting the objectives of Fit India Movement and Azaadi Ka Amrit mahotsav.
In this event Additional District Development Commissioner Shri Pawan Parihar, ex-MLC Shri Vibodh Gupta and other dignitaries were present to motivate and boost the morale of the youth.
The Member Parliament stated that Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is being organised all over the country by the Governments, Ministries and Departments to commemorate 75 glorious years of India's Independence. He further stated that Prime Minister's vision of making a new India will be successful only with the active and able participation of youth. He further said that Self Sustenance and Development of the Youth is one of the main agendas of the present Government.
Earlier, the participants recited the National Anthem and took the Fit India Pledge.
The rally started from PWD Dak Bungalow and culminated at the Office of Fisheries Department after passing through Panja Chowk.
Enthusiastic Youth were carrying National Flags raised slogans like Bharat Mata ki Jai and gave the message of Fit India Movement.
District Officer NYK Nitin Hangloo stated that Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan has been organising Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 under Aazaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav throughout the country and in Rajouri also a District level programme and 75 village level programmes are being organised.
National Youth Awardee and State-level Resource Person Vikrant Sharma appreciated the efforts of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan in motivating the youth of the District and involving them in nation building activities. He further said that Aazaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is a Focus Programme of all the Governments, Ministries and Departments and is being organised by all throughout the country. He further said that the vision of New India shall be successful with the active participation and character building of the youth of the Nation.
