Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Sept 12: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, today conducted a surprise visit to the District Hospital to take stock of health facilities being provided to patients besides reviewing the implementation of Covid protocols there.
The DC also reviewed progress on installation work of 300 LPM Medical Oxygen Gas Plant in the Hospital under Prime Minister's care fund. He said that installation of the additional medical oxygen gas plant shall make the hospital self-sufficient in meeting the demand of medical oxygen.
He also reviewed the implementation of PM-JAY-SEHAT scheme and directed hospital administration to expedite registration of all the people to enable them to avail this universal health insurance scheme.
The Deputy Commissioner went around the wards and interacted with the patients and attendants. He asked them to wear facemask and maintain physical distance in order to prevent Covid-19 infection. The Deputy Commissioner also checked the roster of the doctors and other paramedical staff on call duty. He passed directions to doctors to ensure that all medical facilities are extended to OPD & IPD patients in a hassle-free manner.
Taking a serious note on illegal parking, the DC directed SHO Ramban to regulate vehicle parking on the hospital campus in coordination with hospital administration, for which manpower has been augmented.
The Casualty Medical Officer on duty informed the Deputy Commissioner about the availability of adequate stock of medicines, ambulances for referrals, status of vaccination and Covid tests.
