| Modi government concerned about welfare of women: Rajni Sethi | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: Rajni Sethi, spokesperson of J&K BJP today said that upliftment of women has direct impact on the development of any society and one cannot even think of the progress in the life of an individual, family or society without their participation.
Rajni said this while addressing media persons along with senior leader Suresh Jamwal and media secretary Pardeep Mahotra, at party headquarter. She said that the present BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the UT administration are making sincere efforts for the welfare of the women folk.
She said that during the last seven years 10 crore toilets have been constructed for the convenience of women adding that Beti Bachao Beti Padao scheme for female child and their survival was launched in the year 2015. She said that women helpline numbers were started in 2018-19 to help them in need.
"Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojna was launched to provide to provide free gas connections to women, Pradhan Mantri Matra Vandana Yojna was launched for women with anemia and mal-nutrition problems, who were provided financial assistance of Rs. 5,000 during different periods of pregnancy and an amount of rupees one thousand was also given at the time of delivery of the baby," said Rajni. |
