DDC reviews implementation of Pakal Dul HEP Rehabilitation Plan

KISHTWAR, Oct 1: The progress on the implementation of the approved Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plan at Pakal Dul Hydro-electric Power Project was today reviewed by the District Development Commissioner, Ashok Sharma, here at a meeting with the concerned district officers and project authorities.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Sham Lal; Chief Executive Officer Kishtwar Development Authority/SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACR Akhter Hussain Qazi; DYSSO Kharati Lal Sharma, PWD Engineers besides other concerned officers.
The developmental works projected under the RR plan were discussed threadbare. The DDC took stock of the progress in the implementation of the various rehabilitation and resettlement works which includes the construction of Hospital Building amounting to Rs 353.25 lakhs at Suid Dachhan, construction of 2 passenger sheds with toilet, a Community hall at Kwar Tangi, construction of Dachhan house at Kishtwar, construction of community halls at Soundar and Panjdhara villages of Dachhan block.
The meeting was apprised that the DPR, AA accorded and the part payment for the said works has been received by the concerned department and work has been started.
On the issue of shifting and realignment of 11KV line and construction of receiving station and up-gradation of infrastructure for PAFs, the Xen PDD informed that work is under progress and would be completed in stipulated time frame. Besides, the status on the remodeling of Soundar Kuhl, Nagar Kuhl, renovation of 1000 meter Chicha Dachhan Kuhl and providing of drinking water supply facilities to PAFs of Kwartangi and additional water lifting irrigation facility at Kishtwar was also reviewed in the meeting.
The DDC Kishtwar informed the meeting that the funds for Water sector among others have been released.
For the timely completion of the construction work of veterinary Dispensary at Kwar Tangi and Dachhan, necessary directions were given to the concerned. Besides, the construction of Dipping Vats at Dachhan and Kwartangi was also reviewed and the meeting was apprised that the DPR and full payment has been released in favour of the department.
Among other works, progress of which was taken stock of was the construction of Common Demonstration centre involving a cost of Rs 72 lakh, up-gradation of tourism and sports infrastructure, submission of the DPR for the construction of the playgrounds at GHSS Soundar and Yaywag Sirchi Dachhan estimated to cost Rs 110 lakh . The CEO Kishtwar Development Authority was asked to start the construction of Common Facilitation Centre and recreational Parks at Soundar and Panjdhara respectively.
The DDC Kishtwar informed that amount has been released and more funds are expected. He directed the departments to mobilise resources and expedite the pace manifold to complete projects so that the facilities reach to the PAFs at the earliest.
