10/1/2021 11:28:11 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 1: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta on Friday asked the PHE Department officials to upgrade pipelines and other edifice to ensure contamination free water supply to people in Gandhi Nagar locality.
Kavinder said this while chairing a meeting of Executive Engineers and AEEs of PHE City Division.
While highlighting the problems being faced by the people especially in Gandhi Nagar area, the senior BJP leader said that most of the edifice of PHE department including water pipes is age-old and dilapidated. He said that there is a need to immediately rectify the fault lines for ensuring water supply without any contamination and risk of infection as leakage has become an everyday affair due to old and weary infrastructure of the department which is damaged at various spots and becomes highly unpredictable. There is dire need that the old pipes should be replaced with new ones to ensure regular supply of water, he added.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman Health and Sanitation Narinder Singh; Vinay Gupta District President; Lucky Puri and Bharat Bhushan Mandal Presidents besides Narinder Koki.
Meanwhile, Kavinder Gupta started open gym work along with tile work at Digiana Park. The people of the area expressed gratitude to the former deputy CM for fulfilling their long pending demand.
