KISHTWAR, Oct 3: To review Covid Vaccination and SEHAT registration status in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today chaired a daylong meeting of all key officers of concerned department and CSC officials here in the conference hall of New Office.
During the meeting after threadbare discussion with the participants, the DC rolled out the strategy to expedite the vaccination drive in the district.
Reiterating the order issued by him yesterday, he stressed all DDOs to ensure vaccination and SEHAT card registration of government employees by implementing the order in letter and spirit, besides asked the enforcement agencies to ensure that no public service is availed by unvaccinated persons including shopkeepers, drivers and commuters etc.
To intensify the vaccination drive in the far flung rural areas and ensure that the left out persons are saturated with vaccination ahead of ensuing winters, Deputy Commissioner directed the Tehsildars and BMOs to work in tandem to mobilise the vaccination teams to conduct Vaccination drive on a Mission mode basis.
He directed Tehsildars and BDOs to make adequate arrangements for the camping of vaccination teams in the areas with low vaccination percentage.
Moreover, the DC also directed the BMOs to set Vaccination nakas in their respective jurisdictions to expedite the immunization and duly follow SOPs while conducting the vaccination at these nakas.
Perturbed over the slackness in the PM- JAY SEHAT registration, the DC asked authorities to submit the details of the non performing VLEs so that strict action shall be initiated against them.
Further, he stressed on following a target driven approach in registration and directed VLEs to stay in the areas for better results and said that best performing VLEs will be felicitated.
Further, the DC asked all the BMOs to ensure that CAB is being fully implemented in their respective jurisdictions, besides asked them to expedite the sampling to check spread of the virus. The DC informed the meeting that these are the major focus areas of the LG administration which shall be taken care of on priority basis.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal; ACD Kishtwar Kishore Singh Katoch; DPO Sunil Bhutiyal; CMO Dr R S Manhas; All Tehsildars, BDOs, BMOs, besides other officials of health department, VLEs also remained present in the meeting.
Soon after the meeting, the DC along with District Panchayat Officer Sunil Bhutyal, Tehsildar (HQ) Chander Shekhar Sharma besides health officials conducted inspection of Sunday market and took spot appraisal of the implementation of COVID 19 Appropriate Behaviour and Vaccination coverage of all street vendors and sellers there.
During checking, On-spot vaccination for the unvaccinated street vendors was also conducted to ensure the safety of all.
