NPP shall sweep the Assembly Polls in Distt Udhampur: Harsh Dev
10/4/2021 11:33:48 PM
Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: Claiming growing support for Panthers Party in District Udhampur in the recent past, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman-JKNPP and former Minister today said that NPP would once again sweep all the Assembly seats in the District in the coming elections. He said that people had repeatedly voted for BJP in successive elections held during the past seven years but were a demoralized lot today. "All the promises made by the BJP leadership with the gullible masses had proved to be mere 'Jumlas' creating massive resentment against the saffron party in all constituencies of the District. Under such circumstances, the NPP had once again emerged as the ray of hope for the disgruntled people and varied sections of society aggrieved of the gross neglect and indifferent posturing of the mandated leaders towards them". He was addressing a meeting of prominent party activists in Udhampur town today.
Pointing towards the four successive victories of BJP from 2014 to 2021 in the District, Singh said that it had won the Parliamentary seat twice besides the Assembly elections of 2014 and the DDC elections of 2020 but failed to deliver and to show any tangible results on the ground. "The development had come to a guiding halt especially in the rural and remote areas with people clamouring for provision of even the basic amenities of life. There were hardly any takers for the shrill cries of the common masses with the local administration averse to their woes and sufferings. The Panthers Party was therefore visiting each nook and corner of the District to take stock of the problems of the deprived masses and to work for ameliorating their lot", said the NPP Chairman.
Exhorting upon the NPP activists to prepare themselves for the coming elections, Singh said that Panthers Party would again emerge as the strongest party in District Udhampur. He complimented the party workers for putting up a brave front in the wake of pulls and pressures of the ruling party. He said that BJP's nefarious designs of causing dissensions in NPP would never succeed and its leadership would bring the curtains down for the saffron brigade in the days to come.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Sukhdev Singh, General Secretary-NPP; Sunder Rani, District President Mahila Wing Udhampur; Meena Kumari, District Vice President Mahila Wing Udhampur; Rampaul Bhagat, District President SC Cell Udhampur; Subash Chander Sharma, District President Young Panthers; Teranter Singh, Vice President District Udhampur; DDC member Ashri Devi; BDC Chairperson Des Raj; BDC Chairperson Sushma Kumari; BDC Chairperson Dina Nath; BDC Chairperson Neelam Devi; BDC Chairperson Darshan Kumar besides others.
