10/22/2021 10:47:26 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 22: Residents of Astan Mohalla in Lawaypora area on Srinagar outskirts are up in arms against the administration as water logging has made their lives miserable.
While talking to Early Times they termed the Smart City claims of the government has hoax.
“This mohalla is just 10 kms from Srinagar but it’s deprived of basic amenities, which is visible from dilapidated roads and absence of drainage system due to which the entire area gets waterlogged,” they added.
“Government talks about Smart City, Digital India but the condition of the road speaks something else. This is a very important road as it goes towards the dispensary also,” said Shabir Ahmad.
He said that the macadamization work for this road was allotted under PMGSY but some people created obstacles and stopped this work. “To get this road repaired has been our long pending demand,” he added.
He said that senior officials of R&B Department should visit the area personally to visit the area and take first hand account.
