Jammu, Nov 24: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kavinder Gupta emphasized that BJP Government at the Centre has committed for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir. In a statement issued to media here today, Kavinder Gupta welcomed the statement of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman who said that equitable development is taking place in both Kashmir and Jammu region of the Union Territory and that the local administration is taking due care of it. She had further asserted that every region of the J&K UT shall prosper and develop in every aspect. Kavinder said that the statement clearly indicates the strong coordination of Union Govt and J&K UT Administration in relentlessly working for the overall development of this trauma torn UT. The former Dy Chief Minister also hailed the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for laying foundation stones of 25 National Highway projects worth Rs. 11,721 crore in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that this shows BJP and Central Govt’s commitment for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that these National Highway projects will undoubtedly provide a big boost to the road infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir that would ultimately give respite to the local population by easing their connectivity across the region. He asserted that the unprecedented overall development of J&K witnessed today is the result of close coordination of the Centre and UT Administration without which this would not have been possible. Kavinder Gupta made it clear that the visiting Union Ministers both as part of massive outreach programme or otherwise would ensure that there was no lapse of funds in case of Jammu and Kashmir as it often acts as a bottleneck in the development process. Thus taking utmost care of even the minutest details instantly by the Centre on UT Administration’s pointing out amply proves the unprecedented synchronization between the two to ensure overall development in Jammu and Kashmir, he added. |
