| GGM Science College holds interactive session on Mentoring programme | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 30: In consonance with the National Education Policy 2020 the Mentoring Committee of GGM Science College, Jammu under the aegis of the Principal of the College, Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of Prof Amrit Kour, Convener of the Committee organized an Interactive Session to work out the detailed action plan for the Mentoring programme established in the college in 2020. The focus of the programme was on orienting the faculty mentors to guide, motivate and inspire the mentees and paved way for the holistic growth and development of the students. Dr. Jatinder Kour, Co-Convener, made an elaborate presentation on the mentoring programme focusing on the objectives and role of the mentors in ensuring the smooth transition of the students from high school to higher education. Dr Ravender Tickoo, the chief guest on the occasion lauded the efforts of the committee in organising such an informative session aimed at preparing the road map for the current academic session. Prof Amrit Kour, the guest of honour, emphasized on the significance of such programmes. Prof Vandana Khajuria, HOD English and Coordinator, IQAC, Dr Rakesh Gupta along with other faculty members gave valuable inputs to make the programme more effective. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Preeti Dogra, Head of Dept of Environmental Sciences. |
