Reasi, Jan 23: Road macadamized in Bhambla area in this district wearing out within one month has punctured the tall claims of the Public Works Department of carrying on with quality work.
Locals while talking to Early Times said that when the blacktopping of this road commenced DDC chairperson, sarpanch had appeared on the scene for clicking photos. “But within one month of them having a photo session this road has worn out.” They said, “The R&B Department claims that if the road wears out within three years the contractor will have to repair it.
If this claim is true then the contractor should come forward and repair this road.” Locals said, “The blacktopped road wearing off within a month mocks development claims of the government.
This road wearing off within a month proves it beyond doubt that the contractor had used the substandard material.” |
