JAMMU, July 29: To commemorate ORS Day, Department of Paediatrics, ASCOMS & H, organized a symposium on ORS on 29th July 2022 in the College Auditorium. This Scientific Activity was organized under the supervision of Dr. Ravinder K Gupta, Prof & Head, Department of Paediatrics. Various aspects of ORS were deliberated by the final year MBBS students namely Ms. Aishwarya, Ms. Anandhi, Parv and Kanav. Dr. Sushil Sharma, Assistant Professor, dealt upon various myths, and indication of ORS. Chief Guest of this Scientific Activity Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital highlighted the significance of ORS. He impressed upon the Audience the judicious use of ORS in diarrheal diseases in both paediatric and geriatric age groups. He congratulated Dr. Ravinder Gupta and his team for organizing such type of activity. Dr. Ravinder K Gupta along with two nursing staff members demonstrated the technique of making homemade ORS. Dr. Rabinder Rattanpal, Medical Superintendent, ASCOMS in his address, appreciated the deliberations made by the speakers. |
