ADGP Armed promotes 440 SGCts to Rank of HCs

SRINAGAR, July 29: 2022: S.J.M Gillani-IPS Addl. Director General of Police, Armed J&K today promoted 440 Sg.Cts of J&K Armed Police to the rank of Head Constables.
Among the 440 SGCts, the promotion orders of the 287 Sg.Cts to the rank of Head Constables have been formally issued today after the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by ADGP Armed J&K as its chairman assessed the cases of eligible Sg.Cts and found them fit for promotion in light of the relevant promotion norms. Besides, the process of 153 Sg.Cts eligible for their promotion as HCs has also been accomplished by the DPC but their formal promotion orders shall be issued on successful completion of Pre-Promotion Course by them.
The ADGP Armed congratulated the newly promoted HCs and wished good luck to them and their families. He hoped that newly promoted HCs shall consistently demonstrate discipline, hard work and dedication towards their respective assignments and always come-up to the expectations of people.
S.J.M Gillani-IPS appreciated the efforts of his Staff Officer Shri Mahmood Ahmed-JKPS and his team of officers and DPC members for accomplishing the promotion process in the target time.
Mahmood Ahmed-SSP Staff Officer to ADGP Armed J&K and other officers of Armed Police Headquarters also extended their greeting to the newly promoted HCs and their families.
