Grameen Bank, LIC of India signs MoU

JAMMU, Sept 15: J&K Grameen Bank & Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has further strengthened the existing relationship with the signing of fresh MOU on 15.09.2022 at J&K Grameen Bank, Head Office Narwal, Jammu for selling and servicing of life insurance products for a further period of three years. The relationship between JKGB & LIC of India dates back to the year 2016 & since then has grown stronger with each passing year. Both the partners further renewed their commitments to take this relationship to the newer heights.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Sh. Sanjay Gupta, Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank, who while speaking on the occasion highlighted that tie-up with LIC of India has benefitted the Bank as well as its customers immensely. He applauded that from this step of J&K Grameen Bank masses of UT J&K and Ladakh will be able to get life insurance products from biggest life insurance company of India. Further, he renewed the commitment of J&K Grameen Bank to provide the financial services at grass root level through various channels for ensuring Financial Inclusion.
Dinesh Tanania, SDM LIC, Srinagar Division joined by RK Verma (MM) while speaking on the occasion apprised that Life Insurance is a social obligation under which the company will continue to provide life insurance products at affordable cost to the clients of JKGB and will use the intensive Branch network of the bank to penetrate in the remotest areas of UT J&K and Ladakh.
Suresh Chander Sharma, General Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that since the partnership has grown with every passing year and has been fruitful for the clientele of the Bank so every possible step must be undertaken to provide easy & prompt services to the customers of the Bank.
Sunil Choudhary, HOD Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department, extended the vote of thanks on the occasion and committed to provide hassle-free services to the clientele of the Bank.
