DDC Rajouri reviews achievements under RDD Sector schemes

RAJOURI, Sept 16: To review the block-wise progress of the ongoing Rural Development sector works under the annual plan 2022-23, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Friday, chaired a meeting of Officers of the Department and Engineers of Rural Engineering wing.
At the outset, Assistant Commissioner of Development, Vijay Verma, gave a PowerPoint presentation about the block-wise progress of ongoing developmental works and execution plan under different RDD Sector schemes.
The chair was informed that against a target of 1.30 lakh soakage pits, work has been started on 8294 across different blocks.
The DDC directed the Block Development Officer to put in extra effort and complete the target within the set time frame. He also stressed on resolving interdepartmental Coordination issues, which hamper the achievements. A detailed discussion was held about the implementation of District Capex 2022-23, including Tendering of works, allotment of works, submission of CDR by contractors, work started on the allotted works. Asking the Block Development Officers to adopt a proactive approach to start all projects under District Capex, he set a two week timeline for completing 993 works.
"To ensure use of quality material in the construction of the projects, the BDO shall conduct regular field visits," he added.
The meeting was also apprised that the department has set a target of generating 549615 person days under MGNREGA.
Reviewing the progress achieved in the implementation of PMAY-G, the ACD informed that 17826 houses have been completed and 7000 more would be completed by next week.
"Similarly, under revised target 10249 houses are being constructed under AWAAS Plus and the work has been started on the majority of the houses" the ACD informed further.
The DDC also held threadbare deliberation regarding the Swachata Hi Seva campaign, location plan under SMBM-G, 14th FC, establishment of segregation units and construction of a sanitary Complexes.
