JAMMU, Sept 21: Delhi Public School Jammu organized a two day Career Counseling workshop for the students of Classes IX & XI. Vaibhav Sharma, a Career Coach and Personality Trainer from Delhi was the resource person for the event. Headmaster, Ravi Kumar Kotroo inaugurated the session with a welcome note for the speaker.
The workshop was completely based on off-beat and unconventional career options available in the Job market. He showcased these opportunities through a presentation which acquainted the students to various lucrative careers ranging from Avionics to Open Source-Open Standard, from Mechatronics of Internet of Things, from Cyber Laws to Public Policy and from Auto Management to entrepreneurship.
He laid thrust on a real change in the thought process of the students about their selection of careers and to become a job provider instead of a job seeker.
To conclude the programme, Umesh Kumar Sharma, Dy. Headmaster/Chief Coordinator presented the formal vote of thanks. The whole programme was coordinated by Neeraj Kaila, Academic Counselor, under the guidance of the Principal-DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra.
President-RCT, M.K Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh and Director, S.S Sodhi congratulated the staff and students for the successful conduct of the workshop and extended their best wishes. |
