People continue to suffer in dual control system: Bhalla

JAMMU, Apr 2: District Congress Committee Jammu - Urban held an important strategy meeting at party Headquarters Shaheedi Chowk Jammu to discuss public related issues as well as measures to intensify to fight for restoration of statehood to J&K, besides strengthening organization.
Raman Bhalla Working President JKPCC was Chief guest while DCC President Yogesh Sawhney presided over the meeting. Former DCC President & Senior leader Th. Manmohan Singh, Ex-Corporators Dwarka Choudhary, Rajinder Singh Jamwal & Vijay Malhotra, DCC functionaries Pawan Dev Singh &, Sandeep Dogra, Sat Pal Sapolia, R.S. Randhwa, Kewl Krishan Jogi, Ram Prakash Magotra, Laish Sharma, Raksesh Sharma, Sohit Sharma, Ram Mogotra, Ajay Kumar, Rakesh Paul, Amaerjeet Singh, Ved Prakash, Atul Sharma, Pardeep Bhalla, Shilpa Sharma, Neenu Mehra and Munish Sharma were prominent who attended.
Working President JKPCC Raman Bhalla has said that people continue to suffer in the absence of statehood, as the dual control system is responsible for the unrest amongst the people and the sufferings of different section of society. There is no accountability in the administration due to prevailing dual control system.
Bhalla said that centre government promised time to time to restore statehood without delay especially after assembly elections but even after one and half years of elections & elected government taking over, the centre has no intention to fulfill the promise. He said that people will have to fight for their rights & getting back their status, dignity and identity as a full-fledged state.
He asked Block and Ward Committees to garn support of the people for achieving the goal of early restoration of statehood. Bhalla suggested Various strategies and programs to strengthen the Congress party's groundwork in Jammu District. He urged the party functionaries at all levels to continue taking steps in the direction to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Yogesh Sawhney President DCC (U) Jammu in his address laid stress upon the strengthening of Block and Ward Committees . He also asked the participants to broadcast the policies and programmes of the Congress party and co-ordinate the efforts in strengthening the party cadre in every nook and corner of the Jammu city.
