One day awareness camp on beekeeping promotion held

Kathua, Mar 10: One day awareness camp on the promotion of beekeeping was organised today by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) with the collaboration of a non government aorganization Savior of Innocent Labour (SOIL) at village Bhakta under the supervision of Sarpanch Basheshar Singh and his entire team in which near about two hundred people of the village were participated including fresher and old beekeepers.
State director of the KVIC Sh. B.R Chauhan as chief guest, Sarpanch. Basheshar Singh, Rtd. Head master Bhushan Gupta were the special guests on the occasion who on the occasion expressed their urges to flourish the beekeeping as business which is very useful for both farmers and unemployed youth and to start the beekeeping as business the KVIC is always ready to provide all kinds of technical, and financial assistance to the beneficiaries.
Giving the tips on the technical know-how for the promotion of beekeeping as profession ,the officers on the occasion said that the entire Jammu and Kashmir has the great potential for the production of the honey and has the adequate climatic conditions for beekeeping so the schemes for the promotion of beekeeping launched by the centre government through KVIC should be utilized by the people of the state.
