JCC serves 15 days ultimatum | | | JAMMU: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC)-an amalgam of several government department employees unions-today threatened to revive its suspended agitation if the government fails to concede the employees demands till April 4. "We have unanimously decided decision after a meeting with the Cabinet Sub-Committee, to give five more days, in addition to ten days of time, which state government has sought to fulfill our demands yesterday. If our demands are not met till April 4, the employees would go on seven days strike from April 5," AQ Wani, senior JCC leader told reporters here. "A 48-member delegation of JCC met the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted by the State government at Civil Secretariat here yesterday and it held discussion for three hours wherein the leaders forcefully projected and represented to the issues of the employees to which the Sub-Committee headed by Minister for Finance, Abdul Rahim Rather gave patient hearing and sought the time upto till March 31 for fulfillment of their demands," he claimed. He however, said that the meeting was held in very cordial and conducive atmosphere.
