| HC issues notice to CS | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 4: Justice Sunil Hali of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing has sought information from the Chief Secretary regarding steps taken or constitution of State Information Commission. A notice was accordingly issued with a direction to file objections by or before July 20, 2010.
This order was issue in a petition filed by one Lalit Kumar in which the counsel for the petitioner submitted that Right to Information Act 2009 had been promulgated and section 12 of said Act provides constitution of State Information Commission. It is further submitted that no such State Information Commission has been constituted as a result of which provisions of the Act have become incapable of being implemented. Upon this Justice Sunil Hali directed the Registry to list this case on July 26, 2010. JNF
