Singh demands CBI inquiry against Sarrori

Kishtwar Aug 29: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) held a massive rally at Kishtwar today under the leadership of Dr. Nirmal Singh National Executive Member and former BJP State President. The rally begins from Dak Banglow Kishtwar and the main function was held at Om Mehta road. While addressing the gathering Dr. Singh said that the dismissal of Ghulam Mohammad Saroori is the victory of BJP, as the party raised concern over the issue and force the Chief Minister Omar Abdlulah to sack Saroori from the council of minister. He said that the corruption is a rampant in R & B department and demands for an inquiry into the issue of work order without calling any tender.
Singh educate the people about duel policies of the NC-Congress coalition, which has resulted into the present turmoil in the valley. He said that a large number of local people met him yesterday and this morning to convey their joy over the sacking of PWD Minister G.M.Saroori, as according to them this minister had led a reign of terror among the poor sections of the population. Be it developmental work, transfer or launching of welfare scheme, his consent was mandatory and as a result his blue-eyed persons were being favored by-passing all the rules and regulations. He said that the people who met him also alleged that the work of construction of roads with funds allotted under Prime Minister Grameen Sadak yojana were undertaken only after the green signal of Saroori and embezzlement of funds could not be ruled out.
DR. Nirmal Singh also expressed grave concern over the plight of the members of Village Defense Committees (VDCs) and Dok Defence Committees (DDC), who are not being paid regularly and not regularized despite putting splendid services for years together. He said the people in far -flung and remote areas should not fall prey to the heart pleasing slogans like autonomy or self rule as these are politically-motivated slogans and in reality can not be achieved till a single activist of the BJP is alive in the state. He asked the government to widen the already announced CBI Inquiry against Saroori and direct it to also look into the allegations of corruption charges against former PWD minister.
Sunil Sharma in his address said that earlier it was Late Bashir Ahmed Kichloo who makes people of Kishtwar shame while being caught smuggling timber to outside state and know it was Saroori by impersonating his daughter for MBBS/BDS entrence. He said that both Kichloo and Saroori were opportunist to grab the public money with both hands without taking the aspirations of common people into consideration. He demands for stopping of all payments to the contractors, whose contracts were issued without calling any tender notice till the inquiry into the embezzlement of funds worth crores in R & B department could not be completed. He warns the MLA Kishtwar for ignoring the development of those areas, where BJP got maximum votes and assured the people that he fight for the genuine cause of the common people.
Distt. President Kishtwar Rtd. Capt. Hukam Chand, while expressing gratitude to the party leaders for visiting Kishtwar and having face-to-face interaction with the party activists, who are working in very tough conditions, said that the people of Kishtwar and other areas have always displayed unity whenever any element has tried to harm the nationalist people. He said although many people sacrificed their lives during these years of militancy, still we are standing like a rock to safeguard the national interests in our respective areas and defeating the nefarious designs of a handful of anti-national elements.
Shakti Parihar, Ishtiaq Wani, Master Jagdev Sharma and Akshay Kumar also addressed the gathering.
