Kaka Hussain's son among 2 held in JU "slogan" case

JAMMU, Aug 29: The son of Kaka Hussain, a top city criminal-turned-militant of Talab Khatikan here, was among two youth arrested in connection with the raising of anti-India and pro-freedom slogans outside the Jammu university entrance on Aug 10.
Police sources identified them as Qamran and Shafiq. They were arrested during a police raid on a house at Talab Khatikan, the sources added.
With their arrest, the total number of accused arrested in the case has risen to 16. One of the accused was still absconding. Sources said raids were being conducted to arrest the 17th accused too. A case under relevant sections of law stands registered against them.Kaka Hussain, who was a top city criminal, had joined militant ranks over a decade back. He was also alleged to be involved in a shootout outside a petrol pump at Jewel during the same time.He went underground after the shootout and was not seen after that.
