BVP organizes inter school group song competition | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 7: The Jammu West Branch of the Bharat Vikas Parishad organized an inter-school patriotic group singing competition at KC Public School where few schools form Jammu West participated in the competition. The group songs were sung in both Hindi and Sanskrit. The acadmic Director of KC Public School Dr. RD Thakur, was the Chief Guest on the occasion Prof Satish Anand, the National chairman of the Parishad, graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Other luminaries included Dr Subhash Gupta, President of the Parishad and Arun Sharma, the General Secretary of the Parishad. Set to innovative tunes, the patriotic songs were sung with enthusiasm and fervour by the participating teams of schools, children. Eventually, the first position in Hindi group singing went to Modern High School, Talab Katikon and in the Sanskrit category, it went to KC Public School. KC Public School also bagged the 2nd position in Hindi category and the same position in Sanskrit went to Government Higher Secondary School Sarwal. The students of Government Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar also put up a good effort and won the 3rd position in Hindi group singing. Prof. Vijay Prakash, the chief patron of the Parishad (West Jammu Branch) presented the vote of thanks after the prize distribution ceremony.
