Stone pelter held in Baramulla | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT BARAMULLA, Nov 9: A suspected stone pelter, who was evading arrest for the past two years, was apprehended by police here today. Official sources said Parvez Ahmad Kaloo was arrested near the main gate of the district hospital here when he was going inside the hospital. Kaloo was alleged to be instigating other youth for stone pelting. He was evading arrest since the Amarnath land row in 2008 when he played a main role in the agitation, the sources added. He was again active in Baramulla where stone pelting in the downtown was almost a daily routine. Police claimed it a big catch. Soon after the arrest of Kaloo, a group of youth took to the streets at Cement bridge and started pelting stones on passing vehicles and security forces. |
