Govt's attitude towards ET reflection of Discrimination: Khajuria | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur, Dec 22: State Governments attitude towards fourth pillar democracy particularly with Jammu bases newspaper Early Times shows reflections of Discrimination with Jammuties which is being done by successive Kashmiri rulers from last sixty years. Showing concern over the attitude of Government towards Jammu Print media Senior Bar member Udhampur Bar and Ex Public Prosecutor G.R Khajuria said that Early time is being targeted by government only for its bold voice which paper raises in favor of Jammu people particularly highlighting discrimination with region . He added that recent visit of interlocutors in Rajouri and Poonch district has clearly shown that people raise voice for development their which hasn't been done from last sixty years and no one wants Azadi . It also exposes tall claims of state government on the name of development beside taking hugue money from center for all round development of state He said that government must understand that free press and media are the soul of any democracy and by putting unnecessary curbs the government is only doing harm to itself. It must allow the newspapers to report the things particularly the functioning of the government so that it is able to take corrective measures wherever needed. Ex P.P said that the government must stop such tactics as this approach vindicates the belief of the Party that government continues to adopt discriminatory attitude towards Jammu region. |
