J&K R&B deptt kick-starts e-tendering | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 14: Introduction of E- Tendering system would not only save money, time and physical labour but also bring total transparency in bidding system. This was stated by the Principal Secretary Roads and Buildings K. B. Aggarwal while inaugurating one day training programme of engineers aimed to acquaint them about E-tending process and its benefits.Chief Engineer R&B Jammu, Deputy Lal Sharma, SE, P.L. Bushan and executive engineers of various divisions were present on the occasion. Aggarwal asked the engineers to go through the contents of the E-tending process and ensure that it is applied in their respective divisions strictly. He said that government is particular to implement e-governance in the State adding e-tendering is part of it. He also formally launched a web-portal www.pmgsytenderjk.gov.in and instructed engineers to utilize the service and upload tenders on the website. It was given out that a similar training would be imparted to the bidders on March 16 this year. The training was imparted by J.S Modi, Technical Director National Informatics Centre (NIC).
