Yatri from Punjab dies during Amarnath pilgrimage

SRINAGAR: A Yatri from Punjab died due to massive heart attack at Baltal, base camp of holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalyas.
Official sources said that 32-year-old Joti Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Jalalabad, Ferozpore, Punjab, suffered a massive heart attack at Baltal. Singh was immediately taken to nearby medical camp where he was declared brought dead.
About 80 pilgrims and two porters have died since the commencement of the 46-day-long pilgrimage from June 29. Yatra will conclude on August 13.
