NIA fails to make breakthrough in Kishtwar terror email | | | Asif Iqbal Naik kishtwar, Sept 10: Even after 72 hours, Kishtwar police and three-member NIA team have failed to make any breakthough in the terror email that was traced to local cyber cafe, Global Internet Cafe, in the town here. The email was sent by HUJI to some media houses, claiming the responsibility of the recent Delhi high court blast. Even after hectic efforts, the local police and NIA had failed to identify the man who had sent the email from the cyber cafe. The families of the students who have been detained as suspects emphasised the need for early identification of the culprits to bring the facts to light. Police have so far detained several students, including Sunny Sharma, Sanjay Kumar, Rajinder Kumar and Abid Hussain. Their questioning was on. Ashiq Hussain, Shoiab Ahmed Sheikh, cyber cafe manager Ashwani Kumar and owner Mehmood Aziz were also in police custody. Police sources said a total of 15 students had so far been detained by police and NIA for questioning. Sources said there were only persons at global internet cafe between 1 to 2 pm when the terror email was sent to media houses in Delhi. While examining the data of a computer, police found that the email was sent at 1.38 pm, the sources added. Though a sketch of the man who had sent the email had been prepared, it was yet not released. |
