Early Times Report Jammu, June 4: Returned empty-handed from New Delhi, the anti-Vikar Rasool faction in J&K Congress has started a vicious campaign against Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief to undermine his authority. The malicious campaign launched by the anti-Vikar Rasool group has intensified infighting in the J&K Congress which is claiming to counter the “united” BJP in the Union Territory in general and Jammu province in particular. As reported earlier by The Early Times, the anti-Vikar Rasool Wani faction headed by former minister Raman Bhalla was camping in New Delhi to have an appointment with either Congress president Sonia Gandhi or AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra but they returned empty-handed. “Instead of listening to their complaint against incumbent JKPCC chief Vikar Rasool Wani, Congress high-command has warned dissidents against indulging in indiscipline”, a source said. Early Times Report Jammu, June 4: A day after the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) letter to the five poll-bound states, Ravinder Raina, president of the Jammu and Kashmir BJP said that there was no reason to further delay elections in the Union Territory. Ravinder Raina, while interacting with media persons in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district said that the time is appropriate for holding the first-ever assembly elections in J&K which converted into a Union Territory as per Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019. Early Times Report Jammu, June 4: A few days after the Apni Party leaders locked horns with their counterparts in the Bharatiya Janta Party in Srinagar, “infighting has worsened” in the Kashmir based party. All tracks at Odisha train crash site repaired: Railway Ministry

Agencies Balasore, June 4: The government on Sunday said that both the Up and Down railway tracks at Balasore accident site have been repaired. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted that track linking Up-line has been restored and overhead electification work has also started. "Track linking of Up-line has been done at 16.45 hours. Overhead electrification work started," Mr Vaishnaw tweeted on Sunday. He had earlier tweeted that the down line which links Howrah has been restored. Govt bans 14 fixed-dose combination drugs

Agencies New Delhi, June 4: The government has banned 14 fixed-dose combination drugs including Nimesulide and Paracetamol dispersible tablets and Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Codeine syrup citing there is "no therapeutic justification" for these medicines and that they may involve "risk" to people. The Union Health Ministry issued a notification on Friday in this regard.
