SVEEP programme Galvanizes Participation in electoral process at High School Nagulta

Chenani, Mar 28: In a proactive endeavor to promote systematic voter education and encourage robust electoral participation, a Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Programme was conducted at High School Nagulta today, under the astute guidance of Headmaster Yash Paul Sharma. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chenani, Shri Gurdev Kumar Sharma JKAS, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The programme garnered active participation from the dedicated staff members and enthusiastic students of High School Nagulta, Girls Middle School Masti, Middle School Noti, as well as Block Level Officers (BLOs) representing Panchayats of Nagulta-A, Nagulta-B, Gharian, and Kulasar. Additionally, Anganwadi workers, Asha Workers, and prominent citizens of Nagulta joined hands in this significant initiative.
During his address, the esteemed SDM emphasized the imperative of achieving a voting percentage exceeding 90% in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He urged the BLOs to embark on an extensive outreach campaign, ensuring comprehensive voter awareness across every nook and corner of the region. Furthermore, he called upon former Sarpanchs, Panchs, and the public to rally together, guaranteeing the full participation of eligible voters. Highlighting the significance of the voting day, he envisaged it as a celebration akin to a grand festival, emphasizing the pivotal role of each citizen in exercising their democratic right.
The event witnessed insightful contributions from esteemed community members including former Sarpanch Pawan Kumar, Sarpanch Romesh Kumar Atri, and dedicated educators Poonam Sharma, Ashok Singh, Lekh Raj Parihar, Kaka Ram, and Satish Khajuria, who shared their perspectives on SVEEP initiatives.
Adding vibrancy to the occasion, students showcased various activities aligned with SVEEP objectives and enthralled the audience with colorful cultural performances.
Expressing gratitude, Headmaster Yash Paul Sharma extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to the esteemed SDM and all participants, underlining the collective commitment towards fostering a robust democratic ethos.
The SVEEP Programme at High School Nagulta served as a resounding call to action, inspiring active engagement and informed participation in the electoral process, thereby fortifying the pillars of democracy.
