Preventive action taken against six individuals

REASI, May 31: In a firm step towards maintaining public order and curbing unlawful activities, District Police Reasi today produced six individuals before the Executive Magistrate Ist Class (EMIC) Reasi under preventive provisions of Sections 39/128 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).
The individuals against whom preventive action have been taken are 1. Ankush Kumar S/O Raj Kumar, Caste SC R/O Seela, Tehsil Reasi, 2. Balbir Singh @ Ankush S/O Jeet Singh R/O Talwara, 3. Rajesh Singh S/O Puran Singh R/O Sungri, Chassana, 4. Ravinder Singh S/O Karan Singh R/O Seela, Reasi, 5. Vinod Kumar S/O Suram Chand R/O Seela, Reasi, 6. Rahul Kumar S/O Bishan Dass R/O Seela, Reasi,
These individuals were found indulging in activities that had the potential to disturb peace and public tranquility in the area. The operation was led by Inspector Ranjeet Singh Rao, SHO P/S Reasi, under the close supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Reasi Vishal Singh Jamwal and Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS.
In a related development, two tractor trolleys bearing Registration Nos. JK20A-6258 and JK20C-2757, loaded with illegally extracted Nallah sand, were intercepted and detained by Police in the Nambla Nallah area for illegal transportation of mining material.
The District Mineral Officer (DMO) Reasi has been duly informed for necessary action under the relevant mining rules.
SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh-JKPS while sharing the details, stated that Reasi Police remains committed to maintaining law and order and urged all citizens to refrain from unlawful acts, especially related to illegal mining and disruption of public peace.
