JAMMU, June 2: Jagriti Sangotra, representing Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, has brought glory to the region by confirming a gold medal at the 17th National Kalarippayattu Championship, held in Kerala.
"Jagriti competed in the Senior Girls' Kaipporu event (60-75 Kg weight category) and displayed exceptional courage, endurance, and martial arts prowess by winning six consecutive fights to claim the top podium position," said Danish Sharma, Secretary General, Kalarippayattu Association of Jammu & Kashmir
"This remarkable achievement not only highlights her individual excellence but also marks a significant milestone in the history of Kalarippayattu in J&K," Danish added.
"We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jagriti Sangotra for her outstanding performance. She is a true inspiration for the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and a proud ambassador of our martial her- itage," Danish said. |
