RAMBAN, June 3: An attractive Prize Distribution Function was held today at Government Model Higher Secondary School (GMHSS) Ramban to felicitate distinction holders from Classes 9th to 12th. The event was graced by MLA Ramban, Advocate Arjun Singh Raju, as the Chief Guest, along with the presence of Guests of Honour, Special Guests, parents, teachers, and prominent citizens of the district.
During the function, around 100 students were felicitated with mementoes and medals by the Chief Guest for their academic excellence and exceptional performance in various fields, including their enthusiastic participation in the "Marathon Run Against Drugs", held from the DC Office Ramban to GMHSS Ramban in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Ramban.
In his inspiring and motivational address, the MLA commended the efforts of the students, teachers, and school administration for fostering a culture of excellence and social responsibility. He urged the students to continue striving for academic brilliance while upholding moral values, discipline, and innovative thinking to become responsible and enlightened citizens. He emphasized the importance of education not just for personal success, but as a powerful tool to bring positive change in society, especially in combating social evils like drug abuse. The MLA also assured all possible support for improving educational infrastructure and promoting youth-centric initiatives in Ramban.
The event also featured an inspiring lecture by the Bharat Physies Yatra team, led by renowned physicist Munish Gulati, who motivated the students to develop a scientific temperament and a proactive approach towards learning and discovery in the field of science.
Teachers who have consistently delivered commendable academic results were also honoured during the function, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to shaping young minds.
Principal Kewal Krishan Sharma extended heartfelt thanks to all the guests, participants, and the organizing team for making the event simple yet impactful, and appreciated the collective efforts that made the celebration a memorable one for the school community.
